We are looking for a Studio and Sales Assistant to join our Melbourne team, working from our Abbotsford studio store.

This is a Permanent Part-time position—the successful candidate must be available to work 2-3 days across the week and weekend (days flexible) with a minimum of 15 hours.

The successful candidate should have a minimum of 2 year’s experience working in retail, preferably in a creative business environment.  Further education or training in the fashion industry would be a bonus, but not essential. We are looking for someone who possesses exceptional customer service skills, a keen eye for detail and who can work independently.

The Role

As studio and sales assistant, you will be responsible for retail sales and the management of inventory, stocktake and e-commerce. You will also have the opportunity to assist our production coordinator in the behind the scenes running of our incoming and outgoing production, as well as assisting with social media content. The role will require:

  1. Excellent customer service - both within the retail space and with online communication

  2. Packing and shipping retail and wholesale orders

  3. Liaise with suppliers regarding delivery

  4. Assisting with the management of social media content, including research, copywriting and scheduling

  5. Stock inventory and office supplies management

 

About you

To be successful in this role you will require:

 

Administrative and organisational skills:

  1. Excellent verbal and written communication skills both with customers and within the team

  2. Administration or office management experience

  3. Excellent organisational skills and the ability to multi-task

  4. Strong initiative with an ability to work independently and manage your own timelines, small projects and task lists

  5. Knowledge of our brand, ethos and philosophy

  6. Driver’s licence desirable but not required

  3. Professional and flexible attitude
